Opening this month in the LaCenterra development at Cinco Ranch, the FIREDISC® flagship will offer exclusive coming-soon products, as well as informative brand ambassadors on staff who are eager to provide recipes, tips, and tricks for customers to maximize enjoyment of their FIREDISC® cooking experience. The brand, started in 2010 by two Houston-based brothers who saw an opportunity to cook more creatively outdoors, has accumulated a vast fan base while expanding the brand to over 500 retail partners in 44 states – and the new store will provide a new forum for customers to connect.
“The flagship store is opening at a perfect time, when we’re seeing so much enthusiasm around the FIREDISC® and the way it’s being used in any setting you can imagine,” said co-founder Griff Jaggard. “Our brand is all about family and friends gathering around, and even in these unusual times, we’re proud to offer a product and an experience that encourages safe, fun, active cooking – especially outdoors, which is the best place to be. Our hope is that this store becomes a place where customers exchange ideas, and ultimately provide feedback that continues to evolve our products to be what they want.”
The store will open with two COVID-cautious events next month: a soft launch on November 1, followed by the grand opening on November 21. Additional event information is forthcoming, but attendees can expect partner giveaways from brands including YETI and BOTE paddleboards, live cooking demonstrations and celebrity chef appearances, and more to celebrate the opening. More interactive ‘pop-up’ interactive experiences, including live music and a running ‘FIREDISC University’ cooking class series are planned for the post-COVID era, as social distancing recommendations subside.
“We picked Katy, TX because of the great family atmosphere found here as well as the diversity of the fast-growing friendly community,” said co-founder Hunter Jaggard. “We think this will be an ideal place for our customers to both feel what our brand is all about, and give us the direct feedback that will make us better and better.”
